This article gives you a summary of getting set up on the Polytag platform. After reading this you can dive into more detailed articles on the specific topics.
Upon signing up to your Polytag account you’ve added your first product. You can add further products to your account now, either individually or through our bulk product upload tool.
You can set up products to stand alone, or you can add them to custom groups. You can connect products or groups to a landing page you build in the Polytag platform or to your own website or webpage (redirect).
Optional. To help organise your catalogue you can set up product attributes. For example, product attributes for an FMCG beverage brand could be set as volume and flavour, or they could be set as the sub group flavoured waters. This is fully customisable as it will be different for everyone. This is optional and can be done at any time.
Optional. If you want to measure the impact of the packaging you are selling onto the market you can enter the packaging component details for your products. Again, this is optional and can be done at any time.
Heading over to the Landing pages tab, get your creative hat on and start building fully customisable landing pages that match your brand’s style guide. These are the web pages that consumers will be directed to when scanning your Polytag QR codes. You can either build them from scratch or edit one of our pre-built templates. This is recommended as it means the consumers will scan and see a digital twin of the product they’re holding in their hand. However, we also have the option to redirect the scans straight to your own website or webpage.
Also in the Landing pages tab you will see a Schedules tab. This allows you to schedule back to back landing pages automatically. Give the Schedule a name, then head over to the Catalogue tab to connect your products or groups to the Schedule.
When you setup a connection, customers scanning your QR codes will now be directed to your landing page or web page, so you are now live!
